Tour Overview
Experience one of Morocco’s most iconic journeys on this 3-Day Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara Desert Tour, a spectacular adventure through the Atlas Mountains, ancient kasbahs, dramatic gorges, and the golden dunes of the Sahara.
Starting in Marrakech, this tour takes you across the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, where traditional Berber villages and stunning landscapes surround the winding mountain road. Along the route, you will visit the legendary Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most famous fortified villages.
Continue through Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara”, and travel through the scenic Skoura Palm Grove and the fragrant Valley of Roses before reaching the dramatic Dades Valley, where you will spend the first night surrounded by spectacular canyon landscapes.
The following day brings you to the impressive Todra Gorges, often called the “Grand Canyon of Morocco”, before continuing toward Merzouga, home to the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes. Here you will enjoy an unforgettable camel trek across the Sahara at sunset and spend the night in a traditional desert camp beneath the stars.
On the final day, watch the sunrise over the dunes before returning to Marrakech through Rissani, the beautiful Draa Valley, and the landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, completing an unforgettable Moroccan desert experience.
