After breakfast, depart from Agadir and begin your journey into the heart of southern Morocco. Travel through changing landscapes and traditional Berber villages, with the first major stop in Taroudant, often called the “Little Marrakech” thanks to its impressive ramparts and lively local atmosphere.

Continue through Taliouine, known as the saffron capital of Morocco, where the surrounding landscapes reflect the character of the Anti-Atlas region. Passing through Tazenakht, a town famous for Berber carpets and traditional craftsmanship, continue toward one of Morocco’s most iconic historical sites: Ait Ben Haddou.

This famous fortified village is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest examples of southern Moroccan earthen architecture. It has also served as the backdrop for many international films such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Babel, and Prince of Persia. After visiting the kasbah, check in to your accommodation and enjoy the evening in this remarkable setting.

After breakfast, continue your adventure through some of the most scenic routes in southern Morocco. Pass through Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco, then continue via the palm groves of Skoura and the beautiful Rose Valley.

Travel through the striking landscapes of the Dades Valley, famous for its dramatic rock formations, including the so-called Monkey Fingers, and traditional kasbah scenery. Continue to the spectacular Todra Gorge, often described as the Grand Canyon of Morocco, where towering canyon walls create a perfect place for a walk and some time to explore.

Afterward, continue through the palm groves of Tinjdad and pass through Erfoud, a town famous for fossils and marble craftsmanship. Here, you may stop at a local fossil site or workshop before reaching Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara.

At your hotel near the dunes, switch from the vehicle to camels and begin your ride into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy a magical sunset camel trek before arriving at your desert camp, where a traditional Moroccan dinner and overnight stay in a nomad-style tent await.

Wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes, then return by camel to the hotel area for breakfast and a shower. Afterward, begin the return journey through the desert and oasis regions of southern Morocco.
