Tour Overview
Discover the magic of southern Morocco on this 2-Day Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara Desert Tour, an unforgettable journey through spectacular landscapes, traditional Berber villages, and the breathtaking dunes of the Sahara.
Departing from Marrakech, this adventure crosses the magnificent High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering panoramic views of valleys, mountain villages, and ancient kasbahs. Along the way, you will travel through Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara, and the beautiful Skoura Palm Grove before reaching the dramatic Todra Gorges, often called the “Grand Canyon of Morocco”.
The highlight of the tour awaits in Merzouga, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise high above the desert horizon. Here you will enjoy a memorable camel trek across the Sahara dunes at sunset, followed by a traditional Moroccan dinner and an overnight stay in a desert camp under the stars.
On the second day, watch the spectacular sunrise over the Sahara, then travel back to Marrakech through Rissani, the scenic Draa Valley, and the landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, completing one of Morocco’s most iconic desert journeys.
