After breakfast, depart from Erfoud and head toward the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi near Merzouga. Travel through desert tracks, pass through fossil-rich landscapes, and follow part of the route associated with the famous Paris-Dakar track.

Along the way, stop to visit a nomadic family living in the Sahara and enjoy a glass of traditional tea in an authentic desert setting. This is a wonderful opportunity to discover the simplicity and hospitality of desert life.

Continue to your hotel near the dunes, where your Sahara adventure truly begins. From here, switch from your 4WD vehicle to camels and begin a peaceful ride across the golden dunes. As the sun sets over Erg Chebbi, the landscape becomes especially magical, offering one of the most unforgettable moments of the journey.

Arrive at your desert camp, where dinner will be served in a traditional Berber atmosphere. Spend the night in a nomad-style bivouac in the middle of the dunes, surrounded by silence, stars, and the beauty of the Sahara.

Wake up early to enjoy the breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara Desert, then return by camel to the hotel area where your 4WD vehicle is waiting. After breakfast, continue with a full exploration of the fascinating region around Erg Chebbi.

Drive around the dunes to discover the oases of Merzouga, the nomadic lands, and the Oasis of Tisserdmine, where palm groves create a beautiful contrast with the surrounding desert. Continue to Khamlia village, where the local inhabitants, many of whom have roots in sub-Saharan Africa, preserve the powerful traditions of Gnawa music. Here, you can enjoy a live musical performance and discover a unique cultural side of the Sahara.

Later, continue to Rissani, one of the most historic desert towns in Morocco, where you may stop to visit the traditional souk, considered one of the largest and most authentic in southern Morocco. Before the day ends, continue to Erfoud for a visit to a local fossil craft workshop, where the region’s stone artistry and fossil heritage are on display.
