After breakfast, meet your driver-guide at your accommodation in Ouarzazate and begin your journey southeast through the beautiful landscapes of southern Morocco. The first part of the route takes you through the palm groves of Skoura, one of the region’s most scenic oasis areas, followed by the fragrant landscapes of the Rose Valley.

Continue into the spectacular Dades Valley, where unusual rock formations, winding roads, and impressive mountain scenery create one of the most beautiful routes in the south. The area is also known for the famous Monkey Fingers rock formations, which make this valley especially photogenic.

Later, continue to the dramatic Todra Gorge, often called the Grand Canyon of Morocco. With its towering canyon walls and refreshing atmosphere, Todra is an ideal place for a walk, photos, and lunch. Afterward, continue through Tinjdad and head toward Erfoud, a town famous for fossils and desert stone craftsmanship. If time allows, you may visit a local fossil workshop before continuing to Merzouga.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel near the dunes and enjoy dinner and overnight stay in Merzouga.

After breakfast, enjoy a full day discovering the region around Erg Chebbi, the largest dune system in Morocco. Travel around the dunes and explore a fascinating mix of landscapes, from black volcanic plains to palm-filled oasis areas and golden sand seas.

Stop in Khamlia village, where you can enjoy the rhythms of traditional Gnawa music, performed by local musicians whose heritage reflects the cultural exchanges of the old desert caravan routes. Continue deeper into the desert region to visit nomadic families living in traditional tents, where you can experience a simple way of life and enjoy Moroccan tea in an authentic Saharan setting.

Throughout the day, admire the striking contrasts of the desert: salt flats, rocky plains, palm trees, and endless shifting dunes under a wide blue sky. In the late afternoon, begin your unforgettable camel trek into the dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets over the Sahara, the colors of the dunes become truly magical.

Arrive at your Berber desert camp, where dinner will be served in a peaceful and traditional atmosphere. In the evening, enjoy the unique experience of local drumming and a night under the stars in the heart of the desert.

Wake up early to admire the spectacular sunrise over the Sahara dunes, then return by camel to the hotel area for breakfast and a shower. Afterward, begin the journey back toward Ouarzazate.

Stop in Rissani, known for its traditional souk and historical importance as one of the great desert trading centers of southern Morocco. Continue through Alnif, Tazarine, and N’Kob, where the road passes through beautiful desert and oasis scenery, dotted with Berber villages and kasbahs.

The route then enters the magnificent Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s most impressive palm-filled regions. Lined with ancient villages, kasbahs, and endless palm groves, this valley offers some of the most beautiful oasis scenery in the country. Continue through Agdez and cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains before arriving back in Ouarzazate, where your 3-day desert trip comes to an end.
